Business Requirements:
‘Maintenance’ is a desktop app created by Uptick to help Property Managers be on top of building maintenance and requirements, while also outsourcing and managing maintenance works. They required user journeys for each area of their product.
My Responsibilities:
I needed to create a user journey for each feature of their product, as a way to assist the development team on how to develop action points from the user in the system.
My Approach:
For this particular feature where the user adds a task into the system, I first identified the goals, needs, and problems and clearly displayed them above the user journey. This was to ensure that the focus was always on achieving the goals at hand.
For each step in the journey, I added notes on what the purpose of the step is for further clarity.
Impact:
The impact of creating specific user journeys for each feature of the product was that in enabled the development team to clearly see the logic they needed to build into each feature. It also allowed us to design with goals in mind rather than subjectivity.
