Altech UEC are a leading provider for set-top-boxes for regional communities. The business required a user manual for one of their set-top-boxes that educated the user in detail on how to use the product.
My Responsibilities:
I was required to design the layout and design of the user manual.
My Approach:
I sourced information from the business’ Technical Lead, took product photography and designed the layout and structure of the user manual.
I created the 70 page manual in Indesign, limiting the colour scheme to shades of gray in order not to distract and overwhelm the user throughout the user manual with all the information presented to them.
Impact:
A clean, concise manual that incorporates a lot of detail clearly without cognitive overload.
