Business Requirements:

Balloon Ally design balloon animals for various events. They required a logo design to represent their business.

My Responsibilities:

I was tasked with designing a logo that was fun, engaging and bright, to reflect the enthusiastic personality of the business owner and fun nature of the business.

My Approach:

I worked closely with the business owner to learn about colour schemes they might like, design they are naturally drawn to, and where their logo would be used.

I worked with the type to display the shape of a balloon to encompass the nature of the business, and reduced cognitive overload by using repeat letters once that still makes sense.

In this instance, using the two Ls in ‘Balloon’ and ‘Ally’ just once for both words, as well as the letter A just once in ‘Balloon’ and ‘Ally’. This helps the user to absorb more information with less intake.

Impact:

The result was a happy client and a fun, bright and functional logo for the business.
