Business Requirements:

Uptick are a software company who create products for the building maintenance industry. With various products targeting various client’ needs, a range of sales collateral was required, both product focused and business focused.

My Responsibilities:

I was tasked with creating visually engaging printed booklets that could be given to potential clients to reinforce Uptick’s sales pitches and product offering, and offer further detail for the user to go back to later.

My Approach:

I ensured the design had a corporate and authoritative feel in order to speak to CEOs of potential businesses that would be interested in our product offering. I needed to reduce cognitive overload despite the large amounts of information required to be in the booklet. I achieved this by good use of negative space, using imagery to outline statistics, using colour to break up subject matter and elements and consistency throughout the design, especially with use of Uptick’s logo in order to remain in the user’s mind as they read through it.

Impact:

The impact was a refined, polished design representing large amounts of information in an organised and clear manner, highlighting Uptick’s branding and business benefits for their user throughout the booklet.
